HHS ramping down some scheduled and non-emergent care

April 9, 2021 – In response to the directive issued by Ontario Health, Hamilton Health Sciences is adjusting its activities to meet the challenges arising from the third wave.

The ramp down in elective surgeries and non-emergent/non-urgent care will make it possible to preserve the hospital’s critical care and human resource capacity.

Patients should continue to attend their appointments. Patients will be contacted directly by their surgeon or a member of their care team if there is a change to their planned care.

Our hospitals and urgent care clinic remain open and safe for everyone who needs emergency care.
