General Information
Outpatient Psychiatry 3G Clinic is located at the McMaster University Medical Center in the West End of Hamilton. The program offers assessment and treatment of clients with a serious mental health issue who are over the age of 16 years and who live in Mount Hope, Ancaster, Waterdown or the west end of Hamilton. 3G strives to provide innovative client centered mental health services with a focus on wellness. Those who attend McMaster University, Mohawk College or Redeemer College, as well as staff of Hamilton Health Sciences may also be seen by the General Team upon referral from a primary care physician. Components of Service

Outpatient & Outreach Services
3G provides consultation, assessment, education and supportive discharge planning to clients with serious mental illness and complex biopsychosocial issues. It also offers a variety of treatment modalities, including pharmacological treatment with medication monitoring and time-limited psychotherapeutic interviews. Home visits are also available to clients as required. We provide treatment by a multidisciplinary team focusing on the principles of recovery. Patients with addictions issues may be offered treatment if they have a primary mental health diagnosis. Patients will be strongly encouraged to attend Addiction, Drug, and Gambling Assessment Services (ADGAS) as part of their treatment program.
