Hamilton Health Sciences is committed to providing safe, high quality care to every patient. How well we accomplish that can be measured through the use of key indicators, or statistics, that compare our hospital with other health care facilities in Ontario and Canada.
This web page includes a selection of indicators ranging from infection rates to wait times to readmission rates. We present this information because we believe in accountability and the importance of keeping our community informed on our challenges as well as our achievements. The indicators are explained in detail and are regularly updated by our quality assurance and patient safety staff.
We encourage you to talk with your doctor about our indicators and to contact us if you have questions or concerns about our performance. We believe in transparency and, more importantly, we recognize that patients are our partners in the pursuit of wellness.
