Chronic Pain Management Intensive Program
Message from Medical Director, Dr. Ramesh Zacharias
One of the premier programs of its kind, the Intensive Program at the Michael G. DeGroote Pain Clinic offers exemplary interdisciplinary treatment of individuals in chronic pain. We fully assess each patient and review all past investigations and consultations so that we understand the needs of each individual who enters into our program. Our staff are experts at working with the many issues facing the individual in pain so that we can assist on multiple levels. We believe that chronic pain is a condition that affects body, mind, and spirit as well as the families of the sufferers. We employ evidence-based approaches on all these levels in keeping with international research that continually shows that chronic pain is most successfully treated in an interdisciplinary pain program. Our goal for the group program is to help individuals in pain function better and have more successful lives and we know that when this occurs, pain levels come down over time.
