  • Methacholine Challenge Testing / meta Bisulfite Challenge Testing
  • Exercise Stress Testing
  • Arterial/Capillary Blood Gas Punctures and POCT Analysis

Home Care

  • Providing education, training and ongoing support to mechanically ventilated and tracheostomy patients, families and community ie: Schools
  • Respiratory Assessments
  • Lung Recruitment Therapy
  • Perform home visits for technology dependent patients
  • Complete ADP and HOP applications
  • Liaise with ADP, VEP, CCAC and home care companies
  • Long Term Ventilation (non-invasive and invasive)
  • Classroom teaching for community healthcare professionals
  • Manage home ventilator and tracheostomy clinic

Perioperative Services

  • Daily maintenance of anaesthetic gas machines and related equipment
  • Assist the anaesthesia staff as required, with difficult airways, line insertion, regional blocks, nitric oxide challenges
  • Provide a learning environment for students during their rotation in the O.R.
  • Provide Aerosol Therapy, ABGs, and spirometries for the Pre-Op Clinic and Recovery Room
  • Provide Ventilatory management to the Recovery Room and the Hearth Investigation Unit

Rehabilitation Services

  • Patient populations include spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries and those requiring complex continuing care
  • Respiratory Assessments
